Do you know what a BLVV line is?

22-04-2024

    BLVV aluminum core PVC insulated PVC sheathed round wire, where the "L" stands for aluminum. It is a round wire with a silver-white aluminum core conductor. A layer of insulating material called an insulation layer is evenly and tightly wrapped around the wire to prevent leakage, short circuit, and electric shock caused by contact between the conductor and the outside world. The long-term continuous operating temperature is 70 , let me introduce to you the function of BLVV wire.

1.BLVV wire usage

    It is suitable for wires and cables used in power devices with AC voltages of 450/750V and below, daily appliances, power transmission projects, electromechanical and hydropower installation projects, instruments and telecommunications equipment.

2. Material advantages

    1. Sheath layer: Since the aluminum core is used outdoors and for temporary wiring at construction sites, there are higher requirements for the wear resistance and aging resistance of the wires;

    2. Aluminum conductor: It adopts high-grade aluminum alloy wire core. Through special pressing process and annealing treatment, it ensures the good conductivity and oxidation resistance of the cable. Due to its low price and light weight, aluminum core cables are gradually being used instead of copper core cables in more situations.

    3. Insulation layer: Made of high-standard flame retardant materials, it has the advantages of excellent flame retardancy and low smoke volume compared with ordinary insulation materials. It produces very little halogen gas during combustion, reducing damage to others.

    4. According to the current transmitted by the line and the ambient temperature during use, select a conductor cross-section with a suitable carrying capacity for safety.

3. Precautions

    1. Before use, please check the appearance of the wire insulation or jacket to prevent damage caused by improper transportation or storage and affect the use effect.

    2. The wires should be laid when the room temperature is not lower than 0 ℃. The bending radius should not be less than 6 times the outer diameter of the wires to prevent cracking.

    3. The long-term allowable operating temperature of the wire should not exceed 70 ℃.
